Historic Downtown Auburn
Auburn can trace its roots to the 1850ís. It started as a small farming settlement that was nestled in a fertile valley that quickly became a center of commerce. Auburnís downtown is filled with repurposed brick buildings from the early 1900ís leftover from the Northwestís first growth spurt. Auburnís Downtown center has been revitalized to showcase its once pioneer aspect with an emphasis on early 1900ís architecture. Because it is one of the oldest cities in the northwest it has a classic and rich heart at its center.
With its original architecture, combined with historic preservation and on-going renovations, Auburn's Historic Downtown provides a gathering place for numerous events and some unique stores.
